What is Covid19?

It is disease caused by the newly discovered corona virus.

Corona viruses are a large family of viruses which spreads primarily through droplets generated when an infected person coughs or sneezes, or through droplets of saliva or discharge from the nose known to cause illnesses ranging from the common cold to more severe diseases such as Middle East Respiratory Syndrome (MERS) and Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS).

People of all ages can be affected but older people and people with conditions such as asthma, diabetes, heart disease are highly at risk.People can recover from the deadly virus, but there is also a chance of being affected by it again.Recovering from the virus may take from 2-6 weeks based on the condition of the host.

The affected were able to be recognized to have Corona,because of noticing the symptoms.But,it has been said that the virus does not provide any symptoms for entering the host.The virus can be identified only after a fortnight, thus letting the host affect more people without knowledge.

The mortality rate of Corona is very high when compared to influenza virus,which shows that this virus is very deadly.

297,682 deaths have been caused worldwide due to this virus,with USA being in the lead with 84,931 deaths as of on 14.05.2020. 

No treatment or vaccine has been found for this fatal virus,but since the symptoms can be treated,the patient may survive according to their clinical condition.Therefore, WHO have informed that people of all ages must follow the safety guide and tips to prevent any risks.
